DBTots: Transcending Our Tricky Spots
May – June, 2025
A 6-week class for currently pregnant individuals and their partners
- Are you concerned about managing your own emotions with a baby to care for?
- Were you and your partner brought up very differently, and you would like to make sure you are both in sync with how to respond to your child’s needs?
- Do you love learning, and want to make sure you know all that you can to help start to build a foundation of emotional strength and resilience with your child?
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) offers parents concepts and skills to assist in teaching children how to cope with big feelings as well as building a life worth living.
We will help you learn the basics of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, walking the middle path, and interpersonal effectiveness so that you can teach these core skills to your children (and use them yourself!)
The series starts with our 6-week Prenatal class for soon-to-be moms and dads. We will build off this core course with additional 6-week classes available every year, through your child’s 18th year.
